President Rodrigo Duterte has signed into law the national budget for 2017 worth P 3.35-trillion.

The ceremonial signing was held on Thursday afternoon in Malacañang.

Senate President Koko Pimentel and House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez led the lawmakers who witnessed the event.

This is the first budget enacted by Congress for the Duterte administration.

The President talked about several issues during his speech.

He reiterated his orders to stop all forms of online gambling and the arrest of gambling tycoon Jack Lam.

He also lambasted officials of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Anti-Money Laundering Council who are allegedly involved in corrupt practices.

He asked all government officials to avoid engaging in graft and corruption for a period of at least 6 years or during the duration of his administration.
