PNP undergoes major revamp

PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa approves the appointment of key posts in the Philippine National Police.

This is in view of the retirement of some senior police officers.

PNP Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario has been designated PNP Deputy Chief for Operations, following the retirement of Police Director Benjamin Magalong.

Police Director Fernando Mendez Jr. has been named Acting Chief of PNP Directorial Staff.

Chief Superintendent Ramon Purugganan will serve as Acting Director for Personnel and Records Management.

Police Chief Supt. Edwin Roque is the new Acting Director for Plans.

Senior Supt. Glenn Dumlao has been designated Acting Director for the Anti-Kidnapping Group.

Senior Supt. Manolo Ozaeta has been named Acting Director for Legal Service.

Dela Rosa has also implemented a major revamp among regional directors.

Here are some of the new appointments:

Chief Supt. Sheldon Jacaban – Acting Deputy Director for Intelligence

Senior Supt. Renato Angara – Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration (ADRDA), Police Regional Office (PRO) in Region 2

Senior Supt. Jose Briones Jr. – ADRDA for Region 12

Senior Supt. Froilan Quidila – ADRDA for MIMAROPA

Chief Supt. Franklin Moises Mabanag– ADRDA Region 7

Dela Rosa based the movements on the endorsement of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.
