Dec. 26, 2016 and Jan. 2, 2017 are Special Non-working Days

Malacañang has declared December 26, 2016 and January 2, 2017 as Special Non-working Days.

This is through Proclamation Number 117.

Palace says, the move is being done to enable Filipino families to have a longer time together, a day after Christmas and New Year.

December 26, 2016 and January 2, 2017 are both Mondays.
