Duterte meets the King of Cambodia

President Rodrigo Duterte is now having a royal audience with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh.

The Philippine head of state was earlier given arrival honors.

Duterte and the King trooped the lines during the ceremony.

Before meeting the King, Duterte offered flowers at Cambodia’s Independence Monument and at the monument of King Norodom Sihanouk.

On Wednesday afternoon, Duterte is set to meet with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen.

He arrived in Cambodia on Tuesday for a two-day state visit.

The Filipino community gave him a warm welcome at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel last night.

He sang the song “Ikaw” with a Filipina singer.

In his speech, Duterte centered on his war against illegal drugs in the Philippines.
