The military says, it has recovered about 60 percent of the municipality, including a Madrasah (Muslim school).

The Army’s 103rd Infantry Batallion aims to take back Barangay Poblacion within Wednesday.

The AFP estimates, about 40 members of Maute group may have been killed since government troops began its operations last Friday.
