1,725 drug suspects killed so far

The Philippine National Police (PNP) reports, a total of 1,725 drug suspects have been killed since President Rodrigo Duterte assumed office in Malacañang.

Meanwhile, the number of arrested drug suspects has reached 31,629.

At least 751,703 drug pushers and users have surrendered to local authorities since July.

These figures came from PNP Regional regional offices.

For his part, PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa has submitted to the President a new list of 54 celebrities allegedly involved in drug trade.

Dela Rosa says, the document contains the names of personalities who are buying illegal substances from drug peddlers that the police earlier arrested.

The list includes TV and radio personalities.

The PNP is leaving it up to the President to make the decision on whether or not to reveal the new list of so-called ‘narco-celebrities.’
