House tackles committee report on NBP drug trade

The House Committee on Justice is finalizing its report on its investigation into the proliferation of illegal drugs in New Bilibid Prison (NBP).

Oriental Mindoro Rep. and Committee Chairman Rey Umali says, committee members will dicuss the draft report in an executive session.

He hopes the document will be finalized and approved by the committee and in a plenary session before Congress goes on break next week.

A committee meeting for this purpose is ongoing at the House of Representatives.

Umali is not yet disclosing the contents of the report to the public.
