Courts in Pampanga have granted the motion filed by Actor Mark Anthony Fernandez seeking the suspension of his arraignment and plea for a reinvestigation of the charges filed against him.
The orders were handed down by Angeles City Municipal Trial Court (MTC) and the Angeles City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 60.
Fernandez faces a case of disobedience at the Angeles City MTC for allegedly attempting to evade arrest by police on Monday night.
He is also a respondent to a drug case at Angeles City RTC for alleged possession of a kilo of marijuana.
Fernandez’s lawyer is requesting the courts to allow his client to be transferred from Angeles City Police Station 6 to Pampanga Provincial Jail.
Overcrowding at the police detention cell was cited as reason for the request for the actor’s transfer to another jail.
