Arrest warrant for Albuera Mayor Espinosa served

The warrant of arrest for Albuera, Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa has been served.

The arrest warrant stems from drug charges and illegal possession of firearms.

Albuera Police Chief Jovie Espenido and other local police officials served the warrant to Espinosa at past 8 on Wednesday morning.

Afterwards this, police took his fingerprints and mugshot.

Then, the mayor was brought to Baybay court.

Espinosa is now undergoing medical check up at Western Leyte Provincial Hospital.

Later in the day, police will bring him to Baybay City Sub-provincial Jail where he will be detained as he faces the criminal cases filed against him in court.
