De Lima says sorry for walking out of Senate probe

Senator Leila De Lima apologizes to the public for walking out of the hearing of the Senate Committee on Justice on Monday night.

She explains, she was just deeply hurt and that she does not deserve what she is going through.

She maintains, she did not conceal the information that a kidnap for ransom case was filed against self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato, the witness she presented in the Senate investigation on extrajudicial killings.

She stormed out of the proceeding after feeling offended by Committee Chairman Richard Gordon’s alleged insinuation.

Gordon indefinitely suspended the inquiry after the confrontation with De Lima.
