Magnitude 6 earthquake rocks Davao Oriental

Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City has suspended classes in all levels.

This is so that an inspection of the school complex may be conducted following the earthquake that hit Davao Oriental on Saturday morning.

The Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (PHIVOLCS) says, a magnitude 6 earthquake rocked an area off Mati, Davao Oriental at 6:53 am.

The tremor’s epicenter was located at sea 32 kilometers southeast of Davao Oriental.

No major damage has been reported so far.
