PLLO: LEDAC will be held every 2 months

Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) Secretary Adelino Sitoy promises to hold more frequent meetings of the Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC).

PLLO Secretary Adelino Sitoy says, they intend to hold LEDAC meetings every two months.

Sitoy notes, the past administration of Former President Noynoy Aquino held only two LEDAC meetings throughout his 6-year term.

LEDAC was created in 1992 during Former President Fidel Ramos’ term.

It is meant to serve as a consultative and advisory body to the President and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) on issues pertaining to national economy.

The President serves as LEDAC Chairman and council members include the Senate President and the House Speaker as well as representatives from both chambers, local government, private and youth sectors.
