Abella: State of Lawlessness covers the entire country

Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella reiterates that the State of Lawlessness declared by President Rodrigo Duterte covers both Mindanao and the rest of the country.

He says, a memorandum on this will be issued within Saturday.

Abella tells the public, “there is no need to panic. Things are under control. There is no need to be extraordinarily concerned. The declaration relates to security issues.”

He is also asking people to avoid spreading false information following the blast in Davao City, which killed 14 persons and wounded at least 66.

He says, “don’t add to the discomfort. Let us calm down.”

Abella also reports, the President’s trip to Laos will push through.

Only the trip to Brunei has been cancelled.

Abella adds, Duterte may leave for this first trip abroad as President on Sunday night or on Monday.
