PDEA presents anti-drug campaign to Congress

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) has made a presentation of government’s campaign against illegal drugs at the hearing of the House Committee on Dangerous Drugs.

PDEA reports, from July 1 to August this year, at least 673,978 drug users and pushers have surrendered to authorities across the country.

PDEA Director General Isidro Lapeña said, the price of shabu in the country is relatively at mid-range level compared to other countries.

He explained, this is because Philippines is near China where most of the illegal drugs are manufactured.
