Albuera, Leyte PNP chief laments mayor’s return

Albuera, Leyte Chief of Police Jovie Espenido is dismayed by the return of Mayor Roland Espinosa in their town.

He says, fear now grips residents of Albuera after the mayor went back to the Municipal Hall to resume his duties.

Espenido reports, even the vice mayor has been absent from work.

The chief of police says, the fear is aggravated by the fact that the mayor’s son, Kerwin Espinosa, has yet to surrender to authorities.

Espenido did not expect the mayor to be able to swiftly return to power after his link and that of his son to illegal drug operations in Visayas was reported to the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).
