Monsoon rains and floods claim 7 lives

Death toll due to floods and landslides brought by the southwest monsoon stands at 7.

6 were injured while 7 are still missing.

These figures come from National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Ricardo Jalad.

In a press conference on Tuesday noon, Jalad said, weather is beginning to improve compared to past several days of heavy rains.

The NDRRMC reports, there are 5,037 families staying in 67 evacuation centers across the country.

A total of 32,232 families were affected by bad weather.

Meanwhile, yellow rainfall warning is up over Pangasinan, Zambales and Bataan.

Malabon City has announced a suspension of classes in all levels in public and private schools on Tuesday afternoon.
