Duterte gets disaster briefing from NDRRMC

President Rodrigo Duterte is meeting with National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) Executive Director Ricardo Jalad in Malacañang.

Jalad is presenting to the Chief Executive an update on the disaster brought by the southwest monsoon across the country.

As of Monday, the number of fatalities due to floods and landslides stands at five.

Six persons were injured and one person remains missing.

At least 15,665 families were affected in Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, Negros, ARMM and Metro Manila.

School classes were suspended in Metro Manila and some provinces on Monday due to the weather condition.
