NDF leader Rafael Baylosis appears in court

One of National Democratic Front leaders (NDF) Rafael Baylosis underwent arraignment at Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC).

The court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf as he has a pending plea at the Court of Appeals.

Baylosis faces murder charges for a massacre in Inopacan, Leyte in 1985.

He was also allowed to post bail worth P 150,000.

The grant of bail will enable Baylosis to attend and serve as NDF consultant in the peace negotiations between government and the CPP/NPA/NDF in Oslo, Norway later this month.

The arraignment was held at the sala of Branch 32 Judge Thelma Medina.

Medina also allowed NDF leader Benito Tiamzon and his wife Wilma to post bail so they can also attend the peace talks.

Bail for each one of them was set at P 100,000.
