Geely Cars Philippines, now under direct control of its Chinese parent company, is pushing to revitalize its local presence by bringing two new models into the market earlier today: the all-electric EX5 and the updated Okavango Elite. These launches follow a series of refreshed models rolled out earlier this year.
The EX5 marks Geely’s entry into the Philippine EV segment and is priced at P1,799,000. This 5-seater crossover’s electric motor churns out 215hp and 320Nm of torque, powered by a 60.22kWh battery for a range of over 400km. It is engineered around five core dimensions: New Energy, Safety, Comfort, Intelligence, and Design. For New Energy, the EX5 utilizes Geely’s short blade battery and an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system, allowing for a 30% to 80% charge in just 20 minutes, making it highly efficient for urban environments. Safety is paramount, with dual 5-star crash ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP, complemented by a CTB (cell-to-body) structure and an advanced ADAS suite. Inside, comfort is ensured with a spacious cabin, front-row massage seats, and refined noise control. Intelligent features include a 15.4-inch touchscreen powered by Flyme Auto cockpit, a 13.8-inch HUD, voice control, and L2 ADAS. Its design incorporates flush electric door handles, a panoramic sunroof, and antibacterial interior materials

Meanwhile, the Okavango Elite, an update to Geely’s popular seven-seater, features a refreshed grille, quilted leatherette seats, and a revised digital instrument display. It retains its efficient 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 188hp and 300Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Okavango Elite comes as a single, fully-loaded variant, priced at P1,368,000. Other key enhancements include refreshed exterior styling, a more refined interior, a wide-angle 360° camera system, and a high-strength steel framework for improved protection.
