Joining the mother company’s “Global 100 Dismantlers Project”, Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has officially endorsed Standard Insurance Co., Inc. as the second End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) dismantling facility in the country with the aim to establish proper ELV processing operations worldwide to promote a circular economy and minimize environmental impact. Located at Standard Insurance’s technical and training center in Naic, Cavite, the 8,840-square-meter facility has an annual dismantling capacity of approximately 850 vehicles, primarily those insured under Standard Insurance’s portfolio. The P17.8 million investment underscores private sector commitment to responsible vehicle lifecycle management. ELV dismantling facilities are crucial for safely managing hazardous materials and recovering resources for recycling. With this endorsement, the Philippines now has two such operational facilities which shall strengthen local sustainability efforts and address global climate risks. Standard Insurance is the fifth ELV facility in Southeast Asia to be included in Toyota’s global project.
