Lotus unveils revamped Eletreand Emeya line-up with new naming convention

Lotus has announced a significant revamp of its Eletre hyper-SUV and Emeya hyper-GT lineups for the new model year, introducing a clearer naming convention and refined trim levels. The new ‘600’ and ‘900’ model designations now directly reflect the vehicles’ power output in metric horsepower. Simultaneously, historic Lotus trim names like “GT SE” and “SPORT” are reintroduced with the aim to blend heritage with modern electric performance.

The updated range offers customers enhanced convenience and tailored customization, allowing them to choose between specifications emphasizing pronounced sportiness or a more luxurious, technology-driven experience. The Lotus Eletre is now available in five distinct trims: Eletre 600, 600 GT SE, 600 SPORT SE, 900 SPORT, and the flagship 900 SPORT CARBON. The Lotus Emeya adopts the same nomenclature.

Both ‘600’ variants feature a 450 kW (603 bhp) dual-motor all-electric powertrain with all-wheel drive and a 112 kWh battery pack. The Eletre 600 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the Emeya 600 GT achieves it in 4.15 seconds. For heightened performance, the ‘900’ models boast a 675 kW (905 hp) dual-motor powertrain with a 2-speed transmission. The Emeya 900 can sprint from 0-100 km/h in a rapid 2.78 seconds, with the Eletre 900 following at 2.95 seconds.

Charging performance remains a key highlight. The Emeya, with its 800V battery technology, can charge from 10-80% in approximately 14 minutes using a 400kW DC charger. The Eletre achieves a 10-80% charge in around 20 minutes at a 350kW DC charger, making both among the fastest-charging EVs globally. The Eletre and Emeya are now available for order and are set to debut at Lotus retailers this summer.
