Electric vehicle giant Tesla made waves at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), showcasing its cutting-edge vehicles and outlining its ambitious plans to expand the EV ecosystem in the Philippines. Following its successful market entry in late 2024, Tesla drew crowds with the highly anticipated New Model Y and Model 3.
The star of the show was the globally best-selling Model Y, which had topped automotive charts for two consecutive years, outselling both EV and traditional ICE vehicles. Attendees were particularly drawn to the exclusive new Glacier Blue color. Meanwhile, the optimized Model 3 featured an extended range and a completely redesigned premium interior for superior comfort. The powerful Model 3 Performance variant turns heads with its blistering 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 3.1 seconds.
Tesla not only showcased vehicles but also its commitment to building a robust charging infrastructure. With Supercharger stations already operational at Uptown Mall, Mall of Asia, and Shangri-La Plaza, alongside a Destination Charger at Eastwood Mall, Tesla ensures convenient charging options for its growing customer base. Furthering this commitment, Tesla launches a Home Charging Program, offering a complimentary Wall Connector to new owners – all whilst actions towards additional charging locations are underway.
