Manila Mayor and presidential bet Isko Moreno Domagoso on Wednesday implied that the capital city is ready to re-activate its 24/7 COVID-19 vaccination hubs for Manilans and non-Manilans once they receive new booster shot vaccines for adult Filipinos.

Manila has on hand vaccine supply allotted for minors' vaccination and A1, A2 and A3 group categories as the country seeks to fight the dominant Delta strain and the newer Omicron variant of the coronavirus.

"Kung mag-uumpisa na rin 'yung [booster] sa mga adults… across the board ay handa naman mag-deploy ang City of Manila simultaneously sa bata, sa booster, at sa national vaccination na ginagawa ng national government," Moreno said.

"Puwede namin buhayin yun [24/7 vaccination center]," he added.

The capital city is currently deploying vaccines to community sites (hospitals, malls, schools) and district health centers.

It will maintain its "open policy" for booster shots, said Moreno, referring to the capital's decision to vaccinate all Filipinos regardless of their place of residence.

As of December 5, Manila breached the 130.48 percent mark of its target for complete vaccinations, while 156,571 doses were administered for minors aged 12 and 17.
