Globe continues to elevate customer experience in the field of digital retail as it recently launched Shop & Pay, a new store concept that combines traditional brick-and-mortar Globe Stores offering a one-stop shop for its essential products and services.

The Shop & Pay kiosks were made for consumers to easily avail themselves of Globe’s services with ease. It also lessens physical contact to avoid COVID-19 transmission.

“Many Filipinos are already used to making digital kiosk transactions. Globe is bringing that experience to the next level through best-in-class, omnichannel retail that makes transactions not only more convenient but also seamless and highly immersive,” Globe Head of Retail Design and Portfolio Growth Michael Coson said in a press release.

Globe’s innovative kiosks cover essential needs. The direct-to-the-point directions of the kiosks are helpful even to individuals who have little knowledge of microtransactions.

One of the features of Shop & Pay is the Explore Zone, where consumers who are interested in Globe’s handheld phones can find all the information they need.

Following their futuristic theme, once you pick up a demo unit phone, a visual will be shown regarding its features, specs, and how you can avail of it using Globe’s plans.

There is also a specified Shop Zone, where consumers can buy loads, handsets, and broadband plans.

To avail of these products, one can easily scan a displayed QR code via the GCash app.

GCash money running out? Fret not, as these kiosks also have a Pay Zone.

Pay Zone is where you can easily top up your GCash account and cash in. It also caters to bills payments, making it an expendable feature of Shop & Pay. It also dispenses sim cards and prepaid call cards for those who are interested in locking in their cellular phones with Globe.

Customer care is always an integral part of the business. Fortunately, Globe’s new commodity also includes that, without needing a physical workforce. The Care Zone is almost a virtual customer assistant for individuals who come across these kiosks.

Not only does this feature help customers with their curiosity, it also helps consumers maximize their Globe apps’ services.

With a number of people expected to swarm these kiosks the moment they go live, the company is adamant about making the attraction safe for everyone.

Coson reiterated that they would regularly disinfect the kiosks to avoid COVID-19 transmissions.

“Our customers can be assured that we observe strict safety protocols and that our kiosks are sanitized regularly for our customers’ protection,” Coson said.

Globe has already put up Shop and Pay kiosks at Ayala Malls Manila Bay and SM Manila. According to officials, more outlets are set to be opened in different locations nationwide soon.

The entire initiative is part of Globe’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically UN SDG No. 9 which emphasizes the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development.  Globe upholds the UN Global Compact Principles and contributes to 10 UN SDGs.

“Globe provides today’s life-enabling essentials packaged in a reinvented retail experience centered on customer care and safety. With the pandemic and the growing adoption of digital technologies, we saw a big opportunity to mix online and on-ground retail experience for our customers,” said Bernie Llamzon, Globe EVP for Channel Management.
