Global fast fashion retailer Shein (formerly She Inside) highlights its new collections by Filipino designers who are part of its global design incubator program.

Shein X, launched earlier this year, has accepted into the program rising designers Candle Ray Torreverde, Abimer (Abigail Mercado), Raya Aleczandra Abastillas, Kimble Quinto, and Pamela Madlangbayan from the Philippines.

The retailer first launched in August the Shein x Candle Ray collection consisting of men’s and women’s clothing inspired by architectural geometry “that suggests power and authority”. Candle Ray is known as an “eco-friendly label that creates functional clothing”.

In September, Victorian-inspired lingerie pieces from Shein X Abimer collection were launched along with the Shein x Raya collection composed of womenswear in a range of designs. Abimer is known for her sexy yet sophisticated pieces worn by celebrities like Solenn Heussaff and Nadine Lustre, while Abastillas is noted for her intricate textile manipulation techniques.

Quinto, meanwhile, brings her advocacy to highlight women empowerment through clothing in the Shein x Kimble collection scheduled to debut on the app and website this month. Shein says, the collection will showcase a play on textures through different manipulations and a mix of elegant silhouettes.
