Data from MRT3 showed that MRT3 recorded a zero unloading incidents in January to June this year compared to the 333 unloading incidents in the sane period in 2016.

Tugade, which assumed office as DOTr secretary in June 2016, said the operating speed of the MRT3 train has been raised to 60 kilometer per hour from the original 30 kph.

The interval or headway between trains, on the other hand, has been reduced to 3.5 minutes, from 9 minutes.

“These were made possible by the complete rail replacement works,” Tugade said.
