Cotabato City—Officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) have opened a 100-bed isolation facility for COVID-19 patients in Buluan, Maguindanao.

A P 27-million funding for the project has been allocated through the representation of Maguindanao MP Khadafeh Mangudadatu with the Bangsamoro Government’s Office of the Chief Minister (OCM).

Inaugurated on July 2, the facility has been constructed at the Buluan District Hospital (BDH) as implemented by the BARMM Ministry of Public Works (MPW).

MPW Minister Eduard Guerra said BARMM already has eight isolation facility projects across the region.

Five facilities were already inaugurated and are operational – two in Maguindanao, one in Lanao del Sur, one in Sulu, and one in Tawi-Tawi. The facility in Malabang, Lanao del Sur is still under construction.
