Taguig City Mayor Lino Edgardo Cayetano on Thursday reiterated to residents to register online with the city’s mobile application to secure their vaccination against the coronavirus disease.

The local government is using the Taguig Registry for Assessment and City Engagements (TRACE) App as registration tool and for other services the city offers like health benefits and social services.

Cayetano said the city continues its vaccination rollout to all health workers, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities, and assured that the vaccination process is guided with strict compliance and protocols especially to the vulnerable sectors.

“The city continues to vaccinate those who are in categories A1, A2, at A3. We prioritize them because they are the most vulnerable sector. These are the most vulnerable sectors that if infected, there are high chances that they will experience severe symptoms,” Cayetano said.

On Wednesday, Cayetano announced they started operating the city’s 6th and 7th vaccination sites in line with its vaccination program.

The city government opened the 4th Community Vaccine Center in Western Bicutan National High School in Barangay Western Bicutan and the 3rd Mega Vaccination Hub in Samsung Hall, SM Aura at the Bonifacio Global City.

The new venues will complement the existing two Mega Vaccination Hubs at the Lakeshore area and Vista Mall Parking Building, as well as the three Community Vaccine Centers at RP Cruz Elementary School, Maharlika Elementary School, and EM’s Signal Village Elementary School.

“By opening these new vaccination sites, the city expects a boost in its vaccination rollout,” Cayetano said.

Taguig is preparing to open the vaccination hubs even on weekends and holidays to boost inoculation and immunize residents as soon as possible since the virus still infects whenever and wherever.

Aside from vaccinating its residents, the local government is also distributing stay-at-home food packs since the first day of the implementation of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, as well as emergency relief assistance for the qualified beneficiaries of the Social Amelioration Program.
