Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) recently gave COVID hygiene kits to the teachers of Maypajo Elementary and National High Schools in appreciation of their hard work to promote learning continuity amid the pandemic.

SCB head of corporate affairs, brand, and marketing Mai Sangalang, together with employee volunteers (seen in photo), brought the hygiene kits to the Department of Education (DepEd) schools division office in Caloocan City.

The kits were received by the school principals, office of the schools division superintendent, and officers of the DepEd central office external partnership services.

“The Department of Education actively engages with different partners – teachers, non-teaching organizations, parents and the community to ensure the quality of education we give to our students,” said DepEd undersecretary for legislative affairs, Tonisito Umali.

The initiative is part of Standard Chartered’s united Asia employee volunteering program where employees share time to make a difference in the communities where it operates.
