Central Luzon cops break up shabu group with arrest of 9 suspects

Camp Olivas, Pampanga—Authorities have subdued an illegal drugs group operating in Metro Manila and Central Luzon following the arrest of nine suspected members during a series of buy bust operations in separate areas in Nueva Ecija, the Police Regional Office 3-Public Information Office announced Tuesday.

Police BGen Valeriano De Leon, Central Luzon PNP chief, said among those arrested were couriers of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu. 

They were identified as Baolinang Labay Pithailan, alias Nay, of Barangay Manggahan Commonwealth, Quezon City; Allan Sudario of South Lupao, Nueva Ecija; and two others known as alias “Inlo” and “Macky,” both of Caloocan City.

Operatives of the Nueva Ecija Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) seized 15 pieces of medium-size sachets weighing 75 grams with estimated street value of P500,000 were confiscated from the suspects possession.

The suspects were brought to Nueva Ecija-PDEU for further investigation as criminal charges are being readied against them.
