Interested to learn how to paint using watercolor? A senior recreation center in Makati offers a series of online watercolor painting workshops from October to November.
Beth Robles of Play Crafts PH will conduct Sunshine Place’s workshops via Zoom. Each workshop will last for three hours from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. They are open for participants aged 11 and above.
The first workshop, Watercolor Basic Landscapes, on October 10 will focus on creating simple landscapes using soft and hard edges and light contrast techniques. Enrollment deadline is on October 5.
Scheduled on October 24 is Autumn Landscapes, during which participants will be taught how to use the properties of watercolors to create a simple autumn landscape. They will also learn perspective, soft and hard edges, and light contrast techniques. Deadline of enrollment is on October 19.
Sea Corals, the third in the workshop series, is scheduled on November 14, with enrollment deadline on November 9. The last in the series is Sunset, which will be held on November 28. Deadline of enrollment is on November 23.
Participants can purchase an art kit consisting of watercolor paper, four types of brushes and watercolor paint set, masking fluid, and magic eraser sponge, at a reasonable price.
