Personal shoppers and delivery services are growing in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ayala Malls, for instance, introduces its personal shopper service dubbed Ayala Malls Neighborhood Assistant or A.N.A.

“With A.N.A., our patrons can have easy access to products from our hundreds of mall merchants from the comfort of their homes. Our well-trained personal shoppers are there to ensure they get an easy, convenient, and worry-free shopping experience,” said Ayala Malls president Jennylle Tupaz.

To connect with a personal shopper, find A.N.A. through the customer’s preferred mall’s Facebook page or Viber, order the items through the mall ordering form, speak with the A.N.A. who will process the order, and pay for the order including service fee through cashless payment channels available.

Service rates start at P50 for one store, while personal shopping at the supermarket or department store has a flat rate of P200.

Orders can be delivered straight to customer’s home or picked up at the mall’s DriveBuy. A.N.A. is currently available in 25 Ayala Malls and will roll out in other establishments in the coming weeks.

Shangri-La Plaza mall in Mandaluyong, meanwhile, teamed up with delivery apps JoyRide and MyKuya to help bring Shang brands and products straight to shoppers’ doorsteps.

When purchasing items from a single store, Shang recommends JoyRide.

First, the customer needs to contact the store directly to order items—payment options vary depending on the store. After paying, the JoyRide driver will pick up and deliver the item. The customer can choose to book the JoyRide driver themselves or ask the store to do so on their behalf. Delivery fees will be charged to the customer.

MyKuya is ideal for shopping spree across several stores in the Shang. The app matches customers with their personal shoppers, who can be instructed on what to purchase.

Personal shoppers can be booked online for a convenient shopping experience.

To use the service, download and register on the app, pin the location on Mandaluyong City/Ortigas, and tap the Shang logo and select the duration of your shopping time. After being matched with a Kuya or Ate, customers can discuss payment options—if it’s less than P1,000, the personal shopper can pay for the items first. If the purchase price is more than P1,000, they will drop by the customer’s place first to get the money. Service fees will be deducted from the registered Visa or MasterCard.
