ONE Championship has found itself a new home in the Philippines.

The Home Of Martial Arts announced on Tuesday that TV5 will now carry its events after signing a multi-year partnership with the network.

TV5 will kick off their partnership by airing ONE: NO SURRENDER—the promotion’s first live show in five months—this Friday.

ONE: NO SURRENDER will air live on TV5’s sports arms—One Sports and One Sports+—at 8:30 p.m. It will then re-air on TV5 the next day, August 1, at 11 p.m.

“It is with great excitement that I announce a multi-year partnership with one of the largest broadcasting companies in the Philippines. TV5 is the nationwide leader in digital innovation,” said ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“Together, we will bring new content offerings to our fans, beginning with ONE: NO SURRENDER, live from Bangkok.”

It is another major acquisition for TV5, which has been cementing itself as the premier sports channel in the Philippines.

The network already carries the Philippine Basketball Association, and just last Monday, it announced the acquisition of the National Basketball Association, just in time for its return.

“We are very excited to bring ONE Championship to all Filipino viewers on our Pay TV and Free to Air platforms. It is a welcome addition to the growing list of world class sports properties that we offer,” Cignal TV and TV5 President and CEO Robert P. Galang said.

“This is yet another step in our continued mission to deliver the best sports content to all our viewers and subscribers.”

The seeds of the partnership between TV5 and ONE were planted in October 2019 when the network aired ONE: CENTURY, the organization’s 100th event, much to the delight of their viewers.

“Fight Sports has always been a strong content offering in CIGNAL. When the opportunity for a partnership with ONE Championship presented itself this year, we knew it was something we could not pass up,” said Sienna Olaso, FVP, Head of Channels and Content of Cignal TV.

“It started out as a one-off broadcast of ONE’s 100th event in October 2019, and because of the event’s success on our platform, we knew that a partnership like this was something that would definitely excite our CIGNAL subscribers. “

At ONE: NO SURRENDER, Filipino-Kiwi stud Mark “Tyson” Fairtex Abelardo returns to action when he battles Fabrício “Wonderboy” Andrade in a 67-kilogram catchweight contest.

The main event features Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon defending his ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title against compatriot Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

The ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title will also be at stake as Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy defends  his strap against “The Boxing Computer” Yodsanklai IWE Fairtex.

Aside from watching on TV5, fans can also catch the action live and for free by downloading the ONE Super App.
