NLEX Corp. expects revenues to grow 7 percent this year after opening a new expressway, its top executive said Thursday.
“The projection is 7 percent, hopefully it will ramp up once we open the entire road,” said NLEX president Luigi Bautista.
NLEX in 2019 recorded 340,000 vehicle traffic at North Luzon Expressway and Subic Clark Tarlac Expressway.
The NLEx spans approximately 95 kilometers, while SCTEx is a 94-km expressway stretching from Subic-Tipo to La Paz, Tarlac, connecting the special economic zones in Subic and Clark and Olongapo City to Tarlac City.
NLEX last week opened to the public the Malabon Exit of the North Harbor Link Project that will ease daily traffic gridlock in Metro Manila.
About 30,000 motorists a day stand to benefit from the new road once the entire Harbor Link C3-R10 Section is fully completed next month.
The Malabon Exit is part of the 2.6-kilometer elevated NLEX Harbor Link C3-R10 Section between the new Caloocan Interchange in C3 Road in Caloocan City and Radial Road 10, Navotas City, connecting the previously opened 5.65-kilometer NLEX Harbor Link Segment 10 that traverses Karuhatan, Valenzuela City, Governor Pascual Avenue in Malabon City, and 5th Avenue/C3 Road, Caloocan City.
Aside from significantly easing up the daily traffic congestion and serving as an alternate route to Dagat-Dagatan Avenue, the Malabon Exit aims to open up development potentials in the area.
The NLEX Harbor Link is one of the high impact projects of the Duterte administration’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program.
