No time to do laundry? Call Jeff

The name is Jeff, and he is always ready to handle mountains of laundry.

Mr Jeff app lets users book a pick up, have their laundry washed and folded, and delivered—all in 48 hours.

Busy parents, workers, and students who spend so much precious time or don’t have time to wash their dirty clothes and linens were in mind when Spanish techpreneurs Eloi Gómez, Adrián Lorenzo, and Rubén Muñoz founded Mr Jeff, a laundry service app. It is available in the Philippines.

“In our research, Filipinos already spend an average of four hours a day commuting (in traffic, waiting for public transport or locating parking space),” shared Jeff vice president of marketing Aaron Rodriguez.

He added, “Those who live in big cities usually stay in homes that are less than 100 square meters where they don’t have space for a washing machine or a place to hang their clothes. So they turn to neighborhood laundry shops. However, laundromats these days are mainly do-it-yourself. You pack your laundry, bring it to the shop, load it up on the washer, dryer, pay for the laundry detergent and conditioner. By the time they’re done, they have already spent a big part of the day at the laundromat.”

Mr Jeff guarantees a 48-hour turnover from pick-up to delivery. To use, download the app or go to its website and select location, time, and day of laundry pick-up. A driver will then pick up the customer’s laundry and deliver them washed and folded, ironed or dry-cleaned.

The laundry is washed at Mr Jeff Laundry Hubs located in several areas (such as Alabang, Las Piñas, Ermita, Congressional Avenue, West Fairview, Tiendesitas, and Sta. Rosa) More hubs are opening in Metro Manila and Cebu in the coming months.

The laundry is processed at Mr Jeff Laundry Hubs located in several areas, offering busy homemakers, workers, and students an option to easily outsource this tedious chore.

The app is available through subscription to either two options: Plan LITE includes four regular laundry bags, (approximately 4-5 kilograms) at P960-1060/month or P240-265/week and is good for one to two persons. Plan MAX includes four large laundry bags (8-10 kilograms) and usually costs P1280-1399/month or P320-350/week.

Extra services such as additional laundry bags and ironing (for one, three, or 12 pieces) are also available.

The subscription plans include one laundry service per week or four pick-ups and four deliveries per month. Customers can change the date and time of pick-up and delivery via the app. Subscriptions are renewed monthly but they can cancel any time before their month renews.

Customers are also allowed to “pause” their subscriptions if they’re going on holiday. Payment can be done via cash, card, or the Jeff card (wallet).
