NOMA’s newest hangout is no exception. Assembly Grounds at The Rise, along Malugay Street, is giving promising musicians the spotlight to share their talent and entertain NOMA residents.
Assembly Grounds at The Rise is featuring some of the metro’s well-loved buskers and acoustic acts. Sit back and relax right after a busy Friday or on a slow Saturday night with some up and coming acts this December.
Performances kicked off with Eloisa Jayloni on Dec. 6. Eloisa is a singer-songwriter and an avid busker known for her folksy pop music. She was one of the participants of theNational Songwriting Bootcamp in 2015. A year after, she produced her debut album, Pangarap ni Eloisa.
Tonight, Tek Cortez takes centerstage. Tek, a human resources manager by profession, is a street performer who uses a looper to showcase his own takes on blues rock, new wave, OPM, and pop hits. He busks not only to help express his creative side, but also for charity.
On Dec 13, Aubrey Cayanan will perform. Get ready to be charmed by Aubrey’s sweet voice and take you into a tropical paradise with her mad ukulele playing skills. Expect her to perform jazzy songs like Norah Jones’ “Don’t Know Why” and a repertoire of OPM faves like Juan Karlos’ “Buwan.”
