IKEA will open its world’s largest store in SM Mall of Asia complex in 2020.
IKEA Philippines will occupy a total of 65,000 square meters, or about the size of 150 basketball courts, in SM Mall of Asia complex. The current largest IKEA store, which spans a total of 59,000 square meters, is in South Korea.

The 5-story store will bring 9,000 “well-designed functional home furnishing” products into the country and will include a warehouse, an e-commerce facility, and an integrated call center.

Prior to the opening, its website www.IKEA.ph has been launched to offer design inspiration and boost awareness.

IKEA Southeast Asia said it will invest an initial P7 billion for the store and will employ 500 Filipinos on top of spin-off jobs and other business opportunities.
