PH top designers bag plums at Kohler awards

TOP Philippine designers bagged awards at the first Kohler Bold Design Awards held recently at the Solaire Hotel in Pasay City.  

The awards honored the region’s most outstanding projects in the design industry. The panel of judges included Bill Bensley, creative director of Bensley Studios (Thailand and Indonesia); Carmelo Casas, president & CEO of Casas Architects (Phils.); Antonio Budji Layug, principal designer and chairman of BUDJI+ROYAL Architecture+Design (Phils.); Royal Pineda, principal architect & CEO of BUDJI+ROYAL Architecture+Design (Phils.); Kenneth Cobonpue, founder and creative director of Kenneth Cobonpue (Phils.); and Simon Rawlings, creative director of David Collins Studio (UK). 

Local hospital and residential development property professionals, architects, and designers participated in the event. The Kohler lifetime achievements award was given to Francisco ‘Bobby’ Mañosa, represented by his grandchildren (inset).
