ABS-CBN, Knowledge Channel, and the Philippine Association of Communication Educators Foundation, Inc. (PACE) recently launched “Class Project: An Intercollegiate Mini-Documentary Competition” that will give college students a chance to have their documentaries shown on television.

Class Project, a weekly program that airs student-produced documentaries on Knowledge Channel, aims to harness the creativity of students in making broadcast-quality documentaries.

Eligible college students from PACE-member schools can now submit videos produced within Jan. 1 to Nov. 30, with total running time of 12 to 15 minutes each.

Deadline of submission is on Nov. 30.

“Class Project” is an intercollegiate mini-documentary competition that aims to showcase college students and their works on national television

The documentaries will go through a three-level judging process conducted by ABS-CBN to choose the Top 10 entries, which will win cash prizes on top of having their documentaries aired on “Class Project Winners’ Festival” on Knowledge Channel, which is currently available on ABS-CBN TVplus and SKYcable.

The winners will be awarded during ABS-CBN’s “Pinoy Media Congress Year 12” (PMC) on February 2018. A partnership with PACE, PMC gathers communication professors and students from all over the country to learn the latest trends and issues in media and communication.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN will also hold a “Docu Caravan” together with Knowledge Channel and ABS-CBN Integrated News & Current Affairs this September to teach and inspire students to create informative and relevant documentaries. ABS-CBN journalist Jeff Canoy headlines the first leg in University of Santo Tomas on Sept. 20, where he will share the documentary they made on the Marawi siege.
