The House of Representatives congratulates GMA Network for producing the electoral advocacy campaign “Dapat Tama” and for earning merit honors in the 49th Anvil Awards through Resolution No.149 adopted on Nov. 25.

The campaign, produced by GMA News and Public Affairs, highlighted the importance of responsible voting.

Through various materials and formats, including a music video of Gloc 9 and Denise Barbacena, public service ads, and voter-education programs and specials, it urged the public to cast their ballots according to their conscience.

Bringing to light various socio-political realities and election-related issues, the campaign also featured vignettes and short films made by independent filmmakers and actors.

Produced in time for the 2013 mid-term elections, it garnered merit honors in the Public Relations Programs in a Sustained Basis Category last Feb. 26, 2014.

The Anvil Awards, given by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), is an annual competition which recognizes outstanding public relations tools and programs.
