Litton & Co.’s popular Mandala Park celebrated the New Year with its first weekend market for the year. Continuing support for the people’s wellbeing and sustainably built communities, Mandala Park was set up with white canvas tents to accommodate merchants that showcased locally sourced and crafted produce.
This year’s list of merchants includes Yakang Yaka Barter, which promotes sustainable fashion with hand made Philippine crafts like wallets, bags, and shoes. For the food choices, Ribs Manila, Jonas Manila, and Mister Delicious once again were crowd favorites. Additional pop-ups for Filipino food fare were Asiong’s Carinderia which serves up iconic Caviteño food, while Alavar’s Seafood served fresh seafood sourced straight from the South. Meat delicacies by D’Famous Imus Longganisa and unique mushroom goods from Perfect Mushrooms were also made available. For the adventurous palate, options like Babci Kuchnia’s classic Polish pierogis, Le Petit Souffle’s French-Japanese fusion, and Gostoso Piri Piri and Wrapped Shawarma were set up to satisfy the varied tastes and preferences of market goers.
There were also a lot of players for the drinks category, with homegrown brands like Bayani Brew famous for its unique tea infusions selling crafted bottles of teas, while Stanford & Shaw’s bottles of ginger ale were also a refreshing option. Fresh juices by Fruit Magic’s Pure Nectar line were also available, Pedro Brewcrafters served up their craft beers, and delectable coffee was worth every cup at Out of the Box Bulletproof Coffee. For those with a sweet tooth, Scout’s Honor and Fog City Creamery served up their signature treats. Good Food Community, known for its farmer to consumer organic food subscriptions, also took part in the weekend market with its newly harvested produce made available for Mandala Park shoppers. Filipino bakery Trigo PH also joined the weekend market with its delectable confections and freshly baked goods.
The weekend market was bustling with diners and shoppers, and to add to the merriment, one-man band Mikki Gozon, aka Hoochie Coochie, delighted the visitors with his distinct acoustic blues sound.
The Mandala Park weekend market is proving to be one of the Metro’s go-to weekend market for good food and good produce. Litton & Co. continues to give back to the community which values wellness and sustainability by creating this avenue for amazing finds, relaxing music, and hearty homegrown food.
