Winford Manila Resort and Casino (WMRC), in partnership with the Philippine Amusement & Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), staged on Tuesday the fifth Paskong Pasasalamat mula sa WINFORD at PAGCOR, an annual Christmas gift-giving and meal-sharing activity for the less fortunate citizens of neighboring barangays.

Although a total of one thousand beneficiaries from Santa Cruz and neighboring barangays were selected, only 150 were allowed to attend the event for in compliance with safety protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF). Beneficiaries of the WMRC-PAGCOR community outreach initiative were identified by their respective barangay captains, with whom both WMRC and PAGCOR have maintained a healthy relationship since the luxury casino hotel opened its doors in 2017.

Among those in attendance were WMRC President & COO Jeff Evora; PAGCOR Chairman & CEO Andrea Domingo; WMRC Director for Gaming & Compliance Darwin Cusi; WMRC SOG1 General Manager Jethro Chancoco; and PAGCOR Assistant VP for Corporate Communications Carmelita Valdez.

“This year, COVID-19 continued to present challenges and hardships to Filipinos from all walks of life,” said Evora as he addressed beneficiaries in attendance. “In the spirit of Christmas, we have invited you here today to our annual Paskong Pasasalamat mula sa Winford Manila at PAGCOR event in the hope that it helps brighten the holiday season for you and your loved ones. Let us continue to pray that we overcome this health crisis in 2022 so that all of us may return to life as we know it.”
