An online travel agency launches a discount campaign for vaccinated Filipinos in a bid to boost the country’s immunization drive and the tourism industry’s recovery.
Trip.com’s Vaccinated Discount Campaign features hotel booking deals from more than 100 accommodation partners, including, among others, Aloha Boracay Hotel, Boracay Beach Club, Crimson Resort and Spa Mactan, and Bluewater Maribago Beach Resort.
Fully vaccinated Filipinos booking in participating hotels via Trip.com can get discounts up to 30 percent off today until Dec. 31. Guests are required to present proof of vaccination before or upon arrival at the accommodation.
“It is critical for us to play our part in bolstering the effort towards immunization in the country as we continue the fight against COVID-19,” Jerome Dela Cruz, general manager of Trip.com (Philippines), said in a statement.
He added, “We are also working towards recovery of the travel sector, and this campaign seeks to be an example of the actions we can take to initiate timely opportunities for safe travel resumption.”
Margie Munsayac, vice president of sales and marketing at Bluewater Resorts, lauded Trip.com’s efforts to encourage citizens to get inoculated and at the same time help the hard hit hospitality sector bounce back. “A higher rate of vaccination across the Philippines will boost the recovery of our travel and tourism industry,” she said.
The promotion can be accessed on Trip.com’s website and mobile app.
