Longchamp launches the first Le Pliage made with recycled nylon, which the label will be using for the  entire Le Pliage collection by 2022.

Le Pliage Green, Longchamp’s first Le Pliage made with recycled nylon.

Called Le Pliage Green, the bag represents the culmination of Longchamp’s efforts to source sustainable alternatives to its durable nylon canvas. In 2019 and 2020, the French maison introduced  recycled polyester canvas and ECONYL-certified recycled polyamide (nylon) canvas in its My Pliage Signature and Green District lines, respectively.

Le Pliage Green is available in shoulder bag, backpack, cosmetic case, and coin purse silhouettes in nature-inspired Forest, Ocean, Earth, and Snow (limited edition) colors. It is distinguished from the original line by discreet details, including tonal “Russian leather” trim and an embroidered Longchamp racehorse logo. Its famous “ears” at each end of the zip closure feature light green edges.

To mark the launch of Le Pliage Green, Longchamp has partnered with Marie Papillon, who created three short videos to express the different dimensions of the bag: sustainability, adaptability, and uniqueness through personalization.

Longchamp is exclusively available at Rustan’s Makati, Rustan’s Shangri-La, Rustan’s Cebu, Greenbelt 5, on rustans.com, and through Rustan’s Personal Shopper On-Call.
