The 10 participants in the Fashion Online Expo, which began on April 21 and runs until April 30, include Agsam Fashion Fern, Aranaz, Beatriz, Filip + Inna, Joanique, Ken Samudio, Maco Custodio, Mele + Marie, Vesti, and Zacarias 1925.

The Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), in partnership with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) – Jakarta, is leading the country’s first participation in the Indonesian online expo dedicated to fashion.

Carrying the theme “Fashioned from Nature,” the brands offer export-ready and contemporary pieces ranging from apparel to accessories inspired by the varied flora and fauna of the Philippines.

“Virtual events, such as this online fair, offer a valuable opportunity to promote world-class Filipino products to the Indonesian market. While the pandemic limited offline interactions, online trade fairs allow us to sustain our promotion efforts and target the new breed of tech-savvy Indonesian consumers,” said Jeremiah Reyes, commercial attaché at the PTIC in Jakarta.

All participating brands are exhibitors at FAME+, the digital trade and community platform launched by CITEM late last year to respond to the increasingly digital demands of trade.

“We’re very excited to be taking an active part in the digital facilitation of trade,” said CITEM executive director Pauline Suaco-Juan. “Before the pandemic, CITEM has already been in the process of digitalizing the ways in which we promote our exports, and we are also glad that it’s paying dividends for our stakeholders.”
