A year after the much-talked-about opening of Uniqlo’s largest store in Southeast Asia, right in Glorietta 5, the Japanese fashion retailer treats its loyal patrons with a bunch of promos and new staple items.

“The first anniversary of Uniqlo Manila Global Flagship Store signifies the brand’s success in the Philippines and in the region, thanks to our customers. We are grateful for the strong support we have been receiving since we opened our first flagship store in the country almost a year ago,” enthused Uniqlo Philippines co-chief operating officer Geraldine Sia.

Coinciding with the anniversary celebration is the launch of Uniqlo U fall/winter collection created by the company’s Paris R&D Center led by artistic director Christophe Lemaire. The collection, including Men’s Blocktech Duffle Coats, Women’s Wide Fit Curve Jeans, and Men’s U Wide Fit Tapered Jeans, is now available at the flagship store.

In addition to the new collection, Uniqlo launches its digital T-shirt printing service exclusive to the flagship store.

Customers can create customized graphic shirts and tote bags using the tablets at the UTme! section on the second floor. Shoppers can use their personal photos, type texts, and apply special effects on their chosen canvas, or, just as better, choose from the featured artworks in the #UTmeArtPH collection.

The debut collection, dubbed “Future,” features artworks that inspire hope created by Happy Garaje, Rob Cham, Isabel Weber, Manix Abrera, Ev Yu, Mika Bacani, Otto Björnik, Myka Arnado, Auggie Fontanilla, and Soleil Ignacio.

Aside from local artworks, Uniqlo shines light on other local crafts as it also features furniture pieces by Kenneth Cobonpue and bicycles from Celeste Cycles.

“It’s a privilege for me to partner with a global brand that has redefined clothing. As a designer, I have always valued simple elegance and timeless design and I believe Uniqlo embodies that,” shared Cobonpue.

The premier edition of LifeWear magazine comes to life, as styles in the pages are displayed around the flagship store.

The fashion magazine is currently available at Uniqlo Manila and will soon hit other Uniqlo stores nationwide.
