Resort power dressing

Layered, slip-on, strappy, and maxi dresses with powerful tailoring and streamlined design reflect dressy resort wear that can fluidly shift into work wear. These transitional pieces comprise the Capsule 13 collection of Singapore based label In Good Company.

The latest collection examines the finer details of craft work and intricate handwork while maintaining the fluid drape work distinct to the label.

Dresses continue to feature strongly throughout the capsule, in styles that are softly draped and fluid, or with panels that move as one walks. Fabrics within the collection outline fluidity and movement of the pieces in crepe, premium viscose, and a medium weight twill.

Surface textures abound in dresses through intricate craft techniques and handwork: pleats, minute gathers, and texture handwork all create new volumes and visual graphic interest.

Contrasts in textures are brought to the surface, where a stretch cotton with a crisp papery feel sits alongside waxed cotton jersey, summer linens, and a new lightweight tech fabric.

From left to right: Elijah crepe layered dress, Claire twill draped dress, and Nyx viscose dress

Go from boardroom to bar in Sagaino crepe paneled dress that features a geometrical panel that falls over one shoulder and is balanced by a single strap on one side. This relaxed fit crepe dress comes in at the waist with a self-tie sash.

Elijah crepe layered dress is designed with clean linear lines and has a geometrical panel hanging down the front. This slip-on crepe dress that can take you from day to night falls to tiered layers and has square armholes as an added graphic element.

Taking resort dressing up a notch is the Nyx viscose maxi dress. It is a dipped neckline held up by fine shoulder straps extending into hanging ties on the back. It features a contrast color slip layer that peeks out as a side and V-back detail.

The Claire twill draped dress is an update on the classic wrap shirt dress with its neat overlapping lapels, relaxed proportions, split sides, extended cap sleeves, and neat finishing all around. An under sash brings in one side of the dress into a drape on the waist, and on the back.

Noa crepe drape back dress

For a take on a modern sundress, the Vera crepe dress is cut in a relaxed fit with IGC’s signature shoestring straps and eye-catching side splits. It has draped folds that fan out from a V-neckline. Meanwhile, the back reveals a graphic X-back and angular panels, highlighted by contrast top-stitching all around.

The Noa crepe drape back dress is an elevated shift dress with a scoop neckline, short sleeves, and clean finishing. This slip-on style is made from fluid crepe in a relaxed fit and has tiered draped panel on the back, crafted from light georgette that moves with every step.

Finally, the Ceres Cupro bi-fabric strappy dress is made for luxe dressing as it is crafted using luxe Cupro and designed with a graphic V-back that is suspended by self-bound shoestrings secured by metallic hardware. It has deep side slits and is lined with a contrasting georgette underlay.

In Good Company’s outlet in the Philippines is located at L2, The SM Store Makati.
