Walk in Darth Vader or R2D2 or Storm Trooper as Bata Heritage launches its limited edition Star Wars capsule collection featuring iconic designs on Bata Bullets and Bata Tennis.

Bata Bullets in black and white

The Bullets, which was originally created in 1964 and relaunched in 2016, come in high-top top versions in black or white canvas, with red or blue Star Wars rubber patch on the side and matching piping around the shoe as well as top eyelet. The iconic lightsaber from the movie is featured at the back of the sneaker, which is lined with an allover pattern that is the combination of the Light Side and Dark Side of the Force symbols.

The Tennis, which has been manufactured since 1936 in India for school children to wear for their Physical Education classes, has been revamped with tricolored graphics of Darth Vader, R2D2, and Storm Trooper. Both Vader and Trooper’s drawings are available in white, black, and gray, while R2D2 comes in a fresh white, blue, and gray combination.

“The retro feel of the original Star Wars by George Lucas was the starting point of the collaboration, as it echoes the legacy of Bata, a company started in 1894 that still produces its iconic styles today,” says Charles Pignal, Bata Group Heritage director.
