Summer is here, which means it’s time to bring out the swimsuits and hit the beach. Japanese fashion label Uniqlo offers more choices as it expands its swimwear collection for 2018 spring/summer, with high-quality and affordable pieces.

Along with the popular Princesse tam.tam collaboration and Uniqlo U lines released last year, this season includes items from Uniqlo’s tomas maier and uniqlo design collaboration.

Feminine floral designs

The swimwear collection created in collaboration with Princesse tam.tam, a French lingerie and swimwear brand and subsidiary of Fast Retailing, launches on April 13. This collaboration combines the fashion sense and sophistication of a French brand celebrating feminine beauty, together with Uniqlo’s signature blend of high quality and affordability. The lineup includes floral items in botanical and polka dot patterns reminiscent of French vacations, along with chic solid colors to accentuate the wearer’s beauty. A girls swimwear line is also new for this season.

Minimal seams and bright colors

Uniqlo U’s latest swimwear line is created by Christophe Lemaire-led design team

This season’s lineup of Uniqlo U swimwear line, created by a design team led by Christophe Lemaire at the Uniqlo Paris R&D Center, is composed of pieces in colors inspired by the natural world that shine brightly in the summer sun. These include blues that evoke the sky and sea, and greens that call to mind the forest and flowers. Special production techniques were used in the design to minimize the number of seams. When combined with the highly stretchable material used in the collection, this provides a comfortable fit, even during periods of active movement. This line also launches on the 13th of April.

Refined resort wear

Careful attention has been paid to materials, functionality, and design details in order to realize designer Tomas Maier’s “time off” philosophy, an escape from mental strain and the pressures of time. This simple yet high-quality and refined swimwear helps people relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Pieces from this swimwear line is scheduled to launch on May 18.
