Baguio has always felt like a second home, and for years, The Manor has been my go-to retreat whenever I visit for the Panagbenga Festival. Waking up to the scent of pine trees and sipping coffee on the balcony as the morning mist rolls in—it’s a familiar comfort I look forward to every year.
Recently, I learned that The Manor, along with the Forest Lodge and the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, is undergoing a management transition. Landco Lifestyle Ventures (LLV) has stepped in as the interim manager, overseeing operations at these well-loved spots in Camp John Hay. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) is in the process of selecting a new long-term operator, but for now, LLV is at the helm.

LLV is no stranger to managing upscale leisure properties. They handle destinations like Casobe in Calatagan and Club Laiya in Batangas, so they bring experience in maintaining high-end hospitality. Their task? To keep things running smoothly at Camp John Hay while ensuring guests still get the warm and relaxing experience they’ve come to love.
The Manor and Forest Lodge offer more than just a place to stay—they provide a cozy escape in the middle of nature. With 163 rooms, including 47 suites, The Manor blends luxury with rustic charm. Whether it’s indulging in spa treatments, enjoying a fine meal, or unwinding at the bar, every moment here is about relaxation. Forest Lodge, on the other hand, gives off a more laid-back vibe, perfect for those who want a quieter stay in Baguio’s cool climate.
Beyond accommodations, the CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center remains a key venue for large gatherings. From corporate events to cultural showcases, its 2,300-seat capacity and expansive stage make it a prime spot for conferences and performances.

Camp John Hay itself holds a rich history, once serving as a retreat for American soldiers before becoming one of Baguio’s top destinations. Whether it’s zip-lining, trekking through pine forests, or playing a round of golf on a course designed by Jack Nicklaus, there’s no shortage of ways to enjoy the outdoors here. LLV’s leadership aims to keep the spirit of Camp John Hay alive while elevating the guest experience.
While BCDA has yet to announce when a permanent operator will take over, one thing remains certain—The Manor, Forest Lodge, and the entire Camp John Hay area continue to welcome guests looking for a memorable mountain escape.
